Spring Island Trust Native Plant Project SPRING SALE

The Spring Island Trust Native Plant Project Spring Sale will take place this Saturday, April 14th, from 9 am to 1 pm at the Mobley Oaks Baseball Field. More than 100 species of native plants are for sale including wildflowers, native vines, shrubs, trees, ferns and grasses. Plants cost $6 to $12, check or cash only. Members of the Native Plant Project will be on hand to answer questions. Proceeds benefit the Spring Island Trust.

The Island Packet recently ran a wonderful story featuring Spring Island’s Trust Native Plant Project on the front page of the Real Estate & Homes Section on Sunday, April 1, 2012. (Click here to read the story in its entirety.)

Now in its third year, the Spring Island Trust Native Plant Project is dedicated to the propagation and distribution of native plants, and to providing education about how to use them in yards and public spaces.

"I could work out here all day and not get tired of it. This is my absolute favorite place in the world."  said Ann Baruch, co-chaiwoman of the native plant project, in her intricate garden.
