Drawing inspiration from Spring Island’s past, the barn red cottage with its tin roof sits in an ideal location, the heart of Walker Landing. The cottage is within walking distance of the tennis and pickleball courts, the fitness center, stables, the Nature Center, community docks and the River House. The view from the cottage’s screened porch looks out across the oak allee to the playing fields of the Sports Complex.

Lab Cottage is one of four originally designed by Jim Strickland of Historical Concepts as guest accommodations for Spring Island. The two-bedroom, two bath cottages are finished with beautiful wood paneling, superior mill work, exceptional finishes and rich hardwood floors. The cottage has a comfortable living room with a brick fireplace, a small but complete kitchen and dining area.

The owners have the option to place their cottages in a Club managed rental program which is available to Spring Island members and guests. Ownership is further simplified by a Cottage Association which manages pest control, landscaping, insurance and repairs and maintenance.

Perfect for short term use, the cottage offers the utmost in convenience and is an ideal island retreat.
